Our loving Mother, "Nanny," and Sister, Iris Lawrence Clary 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Senior Care Center in San Angelo. Iris was born March 20, 1922 in Fort Worth to W.B. and Pearl Lawrence. She grew up around the Brady and Lohn area and married Ernest Lee Clary on December 24, 1941. They were married for 52 years until his death in 1993. They moved to San Angelo after their marriage and mother went to work for M'System Food Store, where she worked for over 25 years. After she retired from M'System mother kept children in her home. Our Mother was described as the most loving Christian woman you could meet. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and would spoil them with candy and toys. Iris was a lifelong member of West Angelo Church of Christ where she loved to be on Sunday Mornings until her health kept her away. Iris is survived by one daughter and her husband Shirley and Raymond Anderson of San Angelo, two sons Wesley Lee Clary, Lawrence and Ellie Clary of San Angelo, grandchildren Michael and Becky Anderson, Vanessa and Jay Munsell, Jason and Laura Anderson, Troy Clary, Wesley Wayne Clary, Rusty and Betty Clary, Derrick Clary, Ernie and Adrian Clary, Carla Worley, Scott and Makai Roberts, many great-grandchildren. Iris is also survived by one sister Wanda June Graham of San Angelo. Iris's grandson's will be pallbearers. Iris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter-in-law Kathy Clary, one brother Bluford Lawrence and his wife Velma Lawrence, sister Maebell Lewallen and husband Wilburn, sister Viola Gary Taylor and husband Norbin, and brother-in-law Duane Graham. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and thanks to Senior Care Center on Knickerbocker Road for their love and compassion shown to our Mother during her stay there. The Nurses, Nurse's Aides and Staff were so good to her. She loved every one of you!!!! A very special thank you is given to Josie Soto who was mother's roommate for many years. Josie was there for mother 24 hours a day and we cannot thank you enough. We love you Josie!!! Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday, November 30, 2015 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Services are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.
