Irma Fae Lynn

Irma Lynn, 77, of San Angelo, left this world of struggle and stepped into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday evening, July 20. Family visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10:00am, Tuesday July 22, 2013, at Lifepoint Baptist Church with Lonnie Owens, a long time friend of the Lynns and Associate pastor of Christ's Church in Roswell, New Mexico, officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Irma was born June 30, 1936, in Mooreville, Texas, to Will and Emma Lampert. She was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers, Albert Lampert, Benny Lampert, Marvin Lampert, Harry Lampert; and one sister, Mable Ekrut . She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Stanley, and four children, Audrey Lynn and husband Watson Davis of Frisco, Texas, Angie Miller and her husband, the late Philip Miller of Rowlett, Texas, Jeff Lynn and his wife Renee of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Jenny Drott and husband Jeff of Ft. Worth, Texas. She had nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and a whole host of others who adopted her and embraced her as Mama Lynn. She is also survived by three sisters: Katherine Hudler of Gatesville, Texas, Dolores Shirley and husband John of Round Rock, Texas and Hazel Gibson of Houston, Texas. Pallbearers will include five grandsons and two sons-in-law. Irma sold Avon for 45 years, receiving multiple awards. She viewed her Avon business as more of a ministry than as a job: counseling, consoling and conversation, intentionally making an impact for the kingdom of heaven. She was one of the first members of PaulAnn Baptist Church, believing that God had called her and Stanley to help support and establish this new work in their own neighborhood. Irma loved children to the extent that she served in various children ministries at several churches as a teacher and coordinator for most of her adult life. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her legacy.
