J. EARL HEARD

J. Earl Heard, 82, of San Angelo passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at the Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home in Big Spring. Earl was born on March 19, 1928 to Lawton and Eva (Castleberry) Heard in Cumming, Georgia. He married Nancy Alexander on December 14, 1953 in Oxford, England and together shared 57 years of marriage. He retired from the United States Air Force. A viewing will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Chester McCown officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Decker Cemetery in Blackwell, Texas with Full Military Honors. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Nelson McGee, Lanny Hall, J. Helmers, Clayton Khulmann, Rick Heller, Arthur Kasner, Richard Castillo, Bill Benson and Don Brosig. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; sons, Kyle Heard and his wife Vickie of Waco; Kevin Heard and his wife Renee of Las Vegas, Nevada; granddaughter, Courtney Heard of Waco; and brother, Charles Heard of Georgia.
