Jack Bynum, 90, of San Angelo passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006 in a local nursing home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Steve Hart officiating. Burial to follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Jack was born August 30, 1915 in Memphis, TX to C.R. and Molly Bynum. He was a WWII Army Veteran and worked numerous years in the Oil and Petroleum industry throughout Texas, New Mexico and Utah. Jack worked with and supported Meals for the Elderly and RSVP programs. He and his wife Imogene also attended Lakeview Baptist Church until recently he could be found dancing to all of his favorite songs with his wife Imogene whenever there was a senior citizen dance available. He continued to enjoy listening to music and spending time with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Virginia, daughter Judy Copeland, one brother Jim Bynum, two sisters June McConnell and Jenny Sue Pitner. Survivors are his wife, Imogene Bynum of San Angelo; three sons J.R. Bynum and wife Pat, Joe Bynum and wife, Christina all of Graham, John Bynum and wife Dianna of Brady; one step-son Mike Blasdell and wife Tina; two daughters Virginia Bowerman of Graford and Jean Ann Rollo and husband Edward of San Antonio; step-daughter Fayla Cheatham and husband Tony; seventeen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Allen, Randy Bynum, Justin Bynum, Buddy Copeland, John Cheatham and Dan Lawler. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of San Angelo and Dr. Untalan for the wonderful care given to Jack.
