James Carl Pursley

James Carl Pursley, 69, of San Angelo passed away, Tuesday, February 13, 2018, in San Angelo. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. JT, Tucker, chaplain at Shannon Medical Center, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mr. Pursley was born March 25, 1948 in Midland. James graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a BBA in 1970, he later attended West Texas State University in Canyon. James has been a resident of San Angelo since 2006 moving from Austin. He was a Senior Computer Program Annalist for the Texas Department of Public Safety for 25 years retiring in 2002. James was a Baptist. James was a real sports enthusiast and an avid University of Texas fan. James was preceded in death by his parents, Newton and Juanelle Pursley Survivors include his brother, Alan Pursley and wife Kathy of San Angelo; two nephews, A. J. Pursley of Huntsville and Derrick Pursley and wife Tracey of Odessa; a grand-niece and nephew, Kate Pursley of Odessa and Nick Pursley of Odessa.
