James Edward Gray Sr.

James "Jubal" Edward Gray Sr., 75, of San Angelo, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather ascended to his home in Glory Sunday, November 13, 2016 at his home. He was born on March 14, 1941 to Willie and Bessie (Alexander) Gray in Paris, TX. On January 1, 1960, he married the love of his life Stella Mae Ellis; to this union, nine children were born. James worked in meat packing for many years until he retired. He loved to BBQ. James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Stella; daughter, Yolanda Gray; son, Tyrone Gray and a sister, Alma Gray. Survivors include; daughter, Bessie Ruth (James) Phillips of De Soto, son, Willie Earl (Sylvia) Gray of San Angelo, son, James Edward (Jennifer) Gray, Jr. of San Angelo, daughter, Sheila Gray of San Angelo, son, Victor Dwayne (Mary) Gray, Sr. of Weatherford, son, Leandro Rafael (Ylia) Gray, Sr. of Gail, daughter, Teresa Diana (Avery Lamont) Foster of San Angelo, brothers, Donald (Bobbie) Gray of San Diego, CA. and Troy Wilbur (Annie Fay) Gray of Paris, TX, Pallbearers will be John Newton, Danny Hicks, Earl Turner, Rodney Johnson, Lamont Foster, Tyrun Gray, Sr., Jerry Gray, James Phillips, Jesse Lewis and Charles Mitchell Viewing will be 10:00am to 8:00pm on Friday, November 18, 2016, with family present from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm to receive friends at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00am on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, San Angelo. Burial will take place in the Delta Memorial Park under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral. Home
