James "Jim" Linton Neal, Sr., 72, of Waxahachie, Texas (formerly of San Angelo), passed away on August 26, 2016 in Midlothian, Texas after a long illness. Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 and funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Robert Massie Funeral Home located at 402 Rio Concho Drive, San Angelo, Texas. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo. Jim was born in Belton, Texas to J. W. Neal and Dorothy Newberry Neal on January 3, 1944. He graduated from San Angelo Central High School and soon after, married Gloria Allison on July 20, 1963 in San Angelo, Texas. He worked at Jim Bass Ford in San Angelo for over 34 years, where he retired as the Parts Department Manager and Director. Jim was an avid drag racing fan and loved to RV camp with Gloria and their dogs over the years. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Gloria of Waxahachie, Texas, his daughter Cheryl Weadon, her husband Greg and grandchildren, Justice and Ariby of Midlothian, Texas. Jim is preceded in death by his son James "Jimmy" L. Neal, Jr., his father J.W. Neal, his mother Dorothy McAlexander and his step father Dr. Edward J. McAlexander. Memorials may be donated in Jim's name to Family First Hospice located at 109 S.W. Main St. Ennis, Texas 75119.
