Jane Leyendecker Cano passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, in San Angelo. Viewing will be 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Saturday, April 20, 2019, and 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, April 21, 2019, with the Rosary being said at 6:00 PM at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of resurrection will be 10:00 AM Monday, April 22, 2019, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Joe Cano, Mark Cano, Mike Cano, John Cano, Gabriel Adame and Andrew Cano. Honorary pallbearers are Ernest Cano, Aricka Cano and Adrian Adame. Jane was born December 25, 1933 in Marlin. She married Jose Cano on November 30, 1951 in Lubbock. He preceded her in death on September 18, 2014. Jane was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Jane (Cortez) Leyendecker; four sons; Daniel, Louis, Angel and Stanley Cano, and five brothers. Survivors include her five sons, Joe Cano and wife Ann, Mark Cano and wife Kay, Ernest Cano, John Cano, and Mike Cano and wife Georgiana; her daughter, Linda Cano; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Rudy Leyendecker and Otto Leyendecker and wife Sally; six sisters, Lillian Leyendecker, Elvira Mata, Margaret Vega, Olivia Moraga, Emily Pantoja, and Helen Perry.
