Jerhen Doron Hebert

Jehren Doron Hebert, a child destined for greatness. His name epitomizes who he is. Jehren "Jeren" is a cry of rejoicing; Doron, Hebrew means "Gift of God" and Hebert, French means name of the father of the original bearer, thus simply "Son of Hebert". He arrived in this world on December 19, 1997 in Landsthul, Germany. He was very active in sports even then. Although he didn't play on a team, he was always on the sideline as his brothers or sister's played flag football for their dad's team. He moved to New Mexico where he was also in the sideline as siblings played sports. In 2003 he moved to San Angelo where his sports life really took off. He played on many of the YMCA basketball and football teams, then on to Holliman Elementary and then to Lincoln Middle School where he excelled as a student athlete. Lakeview High School was his last stop. He played on the freshman football team and freshman and varsity basketball teams. Along this journey; he gave his life to Christ and spent time with his real father, Jesus. Jehren touched the lives of many people because it was instilled in his heart at an early age. "Love the Lord with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandant and the second is like it. Love your neighbor as yourself" Matthew 22:37-39. His presence on earth may seem brief, but he leaves a tremendous legacy, by positively impacting many others along his way. He leaves to cherish fond memories; his mother and father, Tekeyia and Danny Hebert, a sister; Essence Johnson and a brother; Jamai Gwinn-Johnson, uncles; Donald (Elizabeth) Hebert, Derrick (Kay) Johnson, Eric (Shawn) Scott, Paris Scott; aunts; Lakisha (Beau) Hebert, April (Charles) Stebbins, Ebony (Carlos) Herrero, grandmothers; Monet Johnson and Peggy Scott, grandfather; Edward Johnson and nephew, Amari Machello, many great-aunts and great-uncles, cousins, along with thousands of friends from various schools. He entered into his Heavenly home on October 13, 2014 to be there with his grandparents; Barbara and Edward Hebert, who preceded him earlier. Memorial services will be 12:00pm noon Friday October 17, 2014 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Fredd Adams, officiating. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, October 25, 2014 at New Spirit of Life Missionary Baptist Church, 7300 Nordling Road in Houston, Texas with burial at Paradise North Cemetery.
