Jesse Alvarez, 60, of San Angelo, passed away Wednesday June 22, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 25, 1955 to Bernardo and Chonita (Garcia) Alvarez Sr. in San Angelo, TX. He graduated from Central High School. Jesse worked as a chief medical supply officer for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Jesse loved his family and was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed listening to music and traveling. Jesse fought his ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) for several years and was brave and was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. He had the biggest heart. He was preceded in death by father. Jesse is survived by his loving wife; Neda Lucia Isaza of San Angelo, two brothers; Bernardo (Beatrice) Alvarez Jr., Leonard (Linda) Alvarez; seven sisters, Elva Alvarez, Viola Gonzales all of Ft. Worth, Delma Padilla of Alvardo, TX., Belia (Evel) Morales of Long Island, NY., Elisa (Vicente) Romero, Edna (Domingo) Sedeno, Irene (Richard) Moya all of San Angelo, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by many special childhood friends and his best friend "Chico" Visitation will be held 10:00am to 8:00pm Friday June 24, 2016 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Rosary will be held on 6:00pm Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Jesse Aguirre, officiating. A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held at a later date. The family wishes to give a special thank you to his caregiver; Virginia Munoz, Dr. Alcocer, Dr. Richeh, Dr. Brown and Dr. Zarate and to the nurses and staff at Interim Hospice for the loving care given to Jesse and to our family.
