JESSIE LEE HUDEC

Jessie Lee Hudec, 81, a life long San Angelo resident passed away on Sunday March 2, 2008. A family visitation will be held Thursday March 6, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Belvedere Memorial Park Friday March 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Neal Brillhart. Mr. Hudec was born December 7, 1926 to John and Annie Hudec, near Mereta, TX. He attended school in Eola, TX. After serving in the U.S. Navy during WW II, he began farming for his dad and for Mr. P.P. Williams in Eola and Vancourt, TX. After the drought of the 1950's he built houses with Wayne Vick construction until his retirement at age 65. After his retirement he was an active member of American Legion Post 32. He married the former Edith Orsak on April 29, 1951 and resided in San Angelo from 1955 until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his loving wife, Edith, son Lt. Col. Ricky A. Hudec and his wife, Laurita Old Hudec of San Antonio, daughter Cynthia D. Hudec of San Angelo. Grandchildren, PFC. Evan A. Hudec U.S. Army, currently stationed at FOB Falcon, Iraq, Amanda C. Hudec of San Diego, CA and Meghan S. Hudec of Denton, TX, sister, Johnnie Mae Kohrman of Clayton, New Mexico. Brother-in-law Julius Orsak and his wife Elizabeth, brother-in-law Raymond Orsak and his wife Betty, sister-in-law Frances Thomason and her husband Garner and close friends, Buddy and Rose Mary Lewellen. Pallbearers will be Post 32 of American Legions.
