Jesus Martinez, 80, of San Angelo Texas, passed away on Thursday December 5, 2013 in San Angelo. Funeral services will be held 2:00 Monday December 9, 2013 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Dr. Toby Irwin of Belmore Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Miles Cemetery. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Jesus was born San Angelo to Francisco and Juanita (Huizar) Martinez on January 11, 1933. He went to school at Miles and attended Howard College. He married Elida Herrera Martinez on June 3, 1962 in San Angelo. He worked as a cabinet maker for Terrill MFG for over 40 years. He was a veteran of The Korean war and served in the Army. Jesus is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters; Anders, Cruz, Maria, Salvador, Isabel, Guadalupe, Elena and Gabriel. Jesus is survived by his very best friend Elida Martinez, children: Teresa Sosa and husband, David, Debra Kawaja and husband, George, Pamela Salgado and husband, Raul, Daniel Martinez and wife, Wanda, grandchildren: Roy Wesley "Peanut" Torres and wife, Cory, Vanessa Guerra and husband, Roland, Kimbery Valdez, Courtney Garza, Joseph Kawaja, Madison, Lindsey, and Caden Harlow, Jensen and Cheyenne Martinez and four great - grandchildren Pallbearers will be David Sosa, Roy Wesley "Peanut" Torres, Carlos Martinez, Mario Martinez, Raul Salgado and Larry Rubio Memorials may be given to Belmore Baptist Church at 1214 South Bell St San Angelo, Texas 76903 The family of Jesus wishes to extend our sincere thanks to his Angel's - Hospice of San Angelo, Dr. Monica Eisele-Flint, Dr. Whitehead, Staff of 5 North, Pastor Toby Irwin and the Belmore Baptist Church Family, Alice , Mrs. Howard, Fernando Lerma, Ramona Holguin, Teri Sosa and Liz Santillan,
