Jesusa Navarro age 90 of San Angelo entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
Public viewing will be on Monday, August 23 from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM in the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. The rosary will be said at 6:00 PM on Monday, August 23rd. The funeral mass will be on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Mertzon Cemetery.
Jesusa was born on December 25, 1930 in Beeville, Texas to her parents Ignacio and Concepcion Garcia Flores. She was one of seven children.
She married Miguel Navarro and together they raised eight children. She had a vey spunky personality and she loved her cokes. Throughout her life, Jesusa was devoted to her family. She cared for them and cherished each of them, including her nieces, nephews and extended family. She had a way of making people loved and accepted, she was a breath of fresh air to those around her. Her pure and selfless heart, and the way she served her family is the legacy of love she leaves behind.
Jesusa was a fabulous cook and enjoyed sewing as well. These things were just another method of showering her family with love, by sewing their clothing, and preparing fabulous meals, with peppers picked fresh from her garden. In addition to peppers, she also enjoyed caring for her rose garden.
Jesusa was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse of thirty eight years, Miguel in 1996; a son, Nick Navarro in 2005; by her brother, Manuel Flores; and by her sisters, Dolores Rodriguez, Guadalupe Ramirez, Maria Villesca, and Ignacia Rojas
She is survived by her children, Juan Martinez of San Angelo, Texas, Mary Mills and her husband Kevin, Mike Navarro Jr., Lee Roy Navarro and his wife Jennifer all of Corinth, Mississippi, Jerry Navarro, Emily Navarro, and Linda Aguirre and her husband David all of San Angelo, Texas; a sister, Aurora Ortega of Lubbock, Texas; by twenty three grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
