Joanne Capps

Joanne Capps, 84, of San Angelo, passed away at a local hospital on May 1, 2015. She was born in Houston, Texas on June 22, 1930 to Marion and Evelyn McDaniel. Mrs. Capps was involved in several businesses in San Angelo, during her lifetime including Capps Realty. She and Grady loved to travel to New Mexico and Colorado and spent many summer vacations in the majestic mountains of those states. They enjoyed their lives together and their many close friends. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty years, Grady Madison Capps and a son, David Capps. Joanne is survived by her step-children, Kenneth Capps, and wife Karen and Connie Estes, several grandchildren and great grandchildren; cousins Clyde Brandon and Georgia Way, and husband Rob; Special-friends surviving Mrs. Capps are Joe and Lou Fields, Don and Judy Burney and Mark and Jackie Stevenson. The care-givers would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Shannon Medical Center for their excellent care and support during Mrs. Capps' illnesses. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM Tuesday May 5, 2015 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
