Joe R. Adair Joe R. Adair, 69, of San Angelo passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009, after complications from chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Joe was born to Betha and Pat Adair, of San Angelo, Texas on February 25, 1940. He attended San Angelo High school and Angelo State University. Mr. Adair proudly served in the Marine Corp. during his high school years and in the U.S. Army from 1958 '" 1960. He worked as a sales representative from Monarch Tile for 30 years. He lived in San Angelo, Marshall, Texas, St Louis Missouri, Florence, Alabama, and Indian Rock Beach, Florida before retiring from a brain aneurysm and returning to San Angelo. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 8-10AM at Robert Massie Funeral Home. A graveside service will be 11AM at Fairmount Cemetery with Chaplain JT Tucker of Vista Care Hospice officiating. Joe was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Adair (Couch); father, Pat Adair; sister, Patsy Cordell; and mother-in-law, Lois Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Pamela Adair (Johnson); daughter, Christy Adair of Sherman Oakes, California; mother, Betha Hicks; sister, Deloris Hunt and husband Don both of San Angelo; father-in-law, William Johnson and his wife Jan of Leesburg, Florida; sister-in-law, Deborah Meyers and her husband David of Freeport, Illinois. Nieces, Deanne Wohleking and her daughter Katie; Donna Grundy and her husband Scott and their sons, Collin and Hunt; Amanda Meyers, and Carla King. Nephews, Dean Hunt, Jr. and his wife Ruth and their sons, Tailor and Godson, Cameron; Anthony Cordell, and Patrick Cordell. Joe loved life and despite health problems always remained a blessing to those of us who knew him. He will be truly missed by all of us, including his two devoted and loving Maltese pups, Gucci and Lucky who brought him endless joy.
