Joe Bill Clark, 82, died Thursday evening, March 16, 2017 at his home in San Angelo, Texas. He leaves his wife of 46 years, Lynda (Ellerd) Clark of San Angelo; his son, Tony Clark of Ozark, MO; his daughter, Karmen Clark of Odessa and his brother, Jimmy Dee Clark and wife, Rita of Acuff, Texas. Born in Levelland and raised in Acuff, the son of Leeman Clark and Frances (Brasher) Clark, he graduated Roosevelt High School in 1951, After high school, he moved to Castro County where he farmed for a short time. After that, he worked for El Paso Natural Gas for over 30 years, and in the late 60's, he opened Trails End Bookstore in Odessa. In 1972, Joe Bill married Lynda Ellerd, and they lived in the Odessa area where they owned and operated Lynda's Pawn. They later moved to San Angelo and opened Lynda's Pawn there, where they lived until his death. He was an Endowed Member of the A&A Scottish Right of Freemasonry and he was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Goldsmith Masonic Lodge #1276. Joe Bill took pride in his work, and truly relished the friends he made throughout his life. He loved his family dearly and will certainly be missed by many. A family visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. A private family funeral service will be held with Pastor Mike Suarez, officiating, followed by a private graveside service in Odessa. Arrangements under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home, San Angelo, Texas. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials go to the charitable foundation of your choice.
