JOE P. GUTIERREZ

Joe P. Gutierrez, 87, of San Angelo passed away on Monday, August 24, 2010 at a local nursing home. Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2010 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at St. Margaret'™s Catholic Church with Father Joseph Choutapalli officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Joe was born on May 11, 1923 in Eldorado, TX to Luis and Rosa Gutierrez. He was a carpenter and cabinet maker. Joe married Otilia Hogeda at St. Mary'™s Catholic Church in San Angelo on August 27, 1954. Joe is survived by his wife, Otilia Gutierrez of San Angelo; son Julian Martinez and wife, Adela of San Angelo; son, Joe Gutierrez and wife, Irene of Sugarland; son, Larry Gutierrez and wife, Maggie of Round Rock; daughter, JoAnn Sevier of Round Rock; daughter, Janie Rodriguez and husband, Richard of San Angelo; daughter, Barbara Aguilar and husband, Manuel of San Angelo; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Efrin Martinez, Martin Houser, Reynaldo Herrera, Joe Ruiz, Carlos Sandoval, and Fernando Sandoval.
