John W. Burgess

John W. Burgess, 83, of San Angelo passed away on Thursday, June 30, at a local nursing home. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. John was born on July 27, 1927 in Wall, TX to George and Mary (Henderson) Burgess. He served his country in the US Army Air Corp during World War II. John retired to San Angelo from Texas Instruments in 1992. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; George, Herman, Paul, Roy and two sisters; Helen Maples and Telado Wilson. John is survived by his sister, Pauline Waller of Hale Center, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
