JOHN T. (JOHNNY) WALLS

SAN ANGELO '" John T. (Johnny) Walls, 62, of San Angelo, went to be with his Lord on Friday, November 20, 2009. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Trinity United Methodist Church on Chadbourne Street in San Angelo with Reverends Mike Dixon, Theodore Boone, Bill Pierce, and John Angle officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Clyde Cemetery in Clyde, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey-Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Viewing will be Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Bailey-Howard Funeral Home in Clyde, and visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Robert Massie Funeral Home in San Angelo. The body will be in state at Robert Massie Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Monday until 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. Johnny was born December 7, 1946, in Abilene to Ted and Fay McElvain Walls. He was a graduate of Clyde High School and graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene. He married Linda Shelnutt on February 14, 1965 in Abilene. They moved to San Angelo from Potosi in 1981. Johnny retired in 2004 from Verizon after more than 25 years of service. He was a member of Harriett Baptist Church. Johnny is survived by his wife, Linda, of San Angelo; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry Travis and Amy Walls of Denton; one daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and James Cowles of Weatherford; and one grandson, Jon Zachary Balazik of Weatherford.
