Jonnie Adams

Jonnie Adams, 97, of San Angelo, closed her eyes to open to the radiance of the face of her Savior on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Park Plaza Nursing Home Chapel with Chaplain Bobby Machen, of Lighthouse Hospice, officiating. Burial was in Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Jonnie was born in Vigo Park, Texas to Jim and Leona Wright on September 25, 1915. She was a great musician who was known to make a piano walk and talk. She played both piano and guitar in worship services of the Assembly of God churches. She was a devout, unyielding follower of Christ. Jonnie felt blessed by the gift of two sons. Her purpose was to live for them. She blessed the hearts of many who was acquainted with her. None left her presence without a smile. Guardianship Alliance would like to thank Dr. Walter Hewell for his amazing talents, Dr. John Jones for his steadfast guidance, Chaplain B.W. Machen for his encouraging presence, the staff at Lighthouse Hospice for the comfort and assurance. Jonnie's days of winter was a blessing to behold because of the devotion and care of the nurses, staff, and caregivers of Park Plaza Nursing Home. Jonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Leona Wright, sisters: Ina May Grosvenor and Miami Jewell Wright, brothers: Milton Wright, Leland Sherman Wright and Cleburne Wright. She is also preceded in death by her precious son, Robert Franklin Adams. Jonnie is survived by her son Randal Lee Adams of San Angelo and her faithful friend, Patricia Sibley of Odessa. In her last year, Jonnie was blessed by her "red bird", Maxine Law, who appeared unexpectedly to add color and song to her days.
