Jose Isabel Ponce

Jose Isabel Ponce, 58 of San Angelo passed away Friday April 26, 2013 at an area care center. Rosary will be 7:00pm Monday April 29, 2013 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00am Tuesday April 30, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Emilio Sanchez, officiating. Burial will follow Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Jose was born February 26, 1955 in Otates Landa, Queretaro, Mexico to Bartolo and Inosente (Ponce) Ponce. He married Sylvia Mireles on December 1988 in Mexico. He was a loving father and grandfather, loved the outdoors, listening to music. He was always smiling and telling jokes. Jose was very friendly and outgoing, he never met a stranger. Pallbearers will be Demas Hernandez, David Rodriguez, Joe Barrera Jr., Mariano Ledesma, Adrian Ponce, Juvenal Ponce. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Ponce; daughters, Regina and Melissa Ponce; son, Jesse Ponce and wife, Liza, all of San Angelo, brothers, Adrain Ponce and wife, Amelia of Georgetown, Ramon Ponce sisters, Mariana Chavez, Artemia Rubio, Aurelia Ponce, Paula Ponce, all of Mexico, grandchildren, Modesto and Martin Resendez and Clarissa and Mireya Ponce, all of San Angelo, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. The family wishes special thanks to the nurses and staff at Girling Home Healthcare for the loving care and especially Angela Mungia who shared our pain at his passing.
