Joseph M. "Joe" Huchton passed away at home in San Angelo, Texas, on February 20, 2021.
A private funeral Mass for the family is planned to be held at Holy Angels Catholic Church in San Angelo with Father Charles Greenwell officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Joe was born in Gainesville, Texas, on November 25, 1949, to Sidney Frank and Eva Marie (Murphy) Huchton and lived in San Angelo for most of his life. He graduated from San Angelo Central High in 1968 and attended Angelo State University. He was awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1972. He worked in construction and retail in San Angelo before retiring in 2015. Joe was an avid sportsman and loved to hunt and fish. In his younger days, he also enjoyed riding motocross. He was a parishioner at Holy Angels and was a life member of the Knights of Columbus. His kindness and gentle sense of humor will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Joe is survived by his two brothers, Don Huchton and wife Sharon of Iowa Park, Texas, and Ken Huchton and his wife Jonette of Tyler, Texas; his nephews James and Mark; his nieces Lori, Amy, Heather and Kathryn; his life-long friend Mitch Halfmann and wife Norma; and his extended family of cousins and grand nieces and nephews.
