Juan J. Ramirez Sr.

Juan J. Ramirez Sr., 78 of San Angelo went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday October 24, 2013 at a local care center. Rosary will be 7:00pm Sunday October 27, 2013 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral service will be 11:00am Monday October 28, 2013 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Deacon Abel Fernandez of St. Joseph Catholic church, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Juan was born April 6, 1935 in San Carlos Coah. Mexico to Jose Celestino and Maria Braulia (Garcia) Ramirez. He worked as a welder for many years at Texas Tank Car. Juan married Concepcion Garcia in Cd. Acuna Coah. Mexico in November of 1959. Pallbearers will be his grandsons; Francisco Porras,, Juan Ramirez 3rd, Gabriel Wilkins, Manuel Palacios, Michael Ruiz Jr., Daniel Wilkins, Kevin Wilkins and Francisco Palos. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Enriqueta Ramirez and a brother; Eusevio Ramirez. Survivors include his wife of 54 years; Concepcion Ramirez; four daughters; Maria Hernandez and husband, Antonio of Kingsland, Cecilia Ruiz and husband, Oscar, Maria Wilkins and husband, Leonard, Ana Palacios and husband, Manuel, all of San Angelo, TX., three sons; Juan J. Ramirez Jr. and wife, Shirley of San Angelo, Jesse Ramirez of Austin and Pepe Ramirez and wife, Maria of San Angelo; two brothers; Amado Ramirez and wife, Martha and Pedro Ramirez and wife, Lupe, all of Cd. Acuna Coah. Mexico; grandchildren; Magdalena Ramirez, Kristy Ramirez, Francisco Porras, Patricia Porras, Juan Ramirez 3rd, Gabriel Wilkins, Manuel Palacios, Michael Ruiz Jr., Daniel Wilkins, Leticia Ramirez, Kevin Wilkins, Lilly Ruiz and Francisco Palos, seventeen great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, friends including his good friend; Alfonso Valdez.
