Juanita Levario Leija

Juanita Levario Leija, age 55, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, TX. She was a life-long resident of Big Lake. She was born on October 10, 1955 in Big Lake, TX to Maria and Juan Levario. On February 20, 1973, she married Hilario Leija Jr. She spent the next 38 years of her life in loving devotion to her husband. Juanita always presented her charismatic and infectious smile upon meeting anyone. As a caring wife, grandmother, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Juanita provided the love and generosity any family would treasure. Juanita was a homemaker and would pass much of the time happily greeting those driving by her front porch. Juanita was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Levario and brother, Eliseo Levario. She is survived by her husband, Hilario Leija Jr.; daughter, Tanya Galindo and husband William; sons, Lalo Leija and wife Yolanda, and Edward Leija and wife Lisett; grandchildren, Brianna Danielle Galindo; Landen Leland Leija, and William Leija; father, Juan Levario Sr.; sisters, Eva Siller and husband Javier, Rita Ramirez and husband Jose Luis, and Liza Levario; brothers, Juan Levario Jr. and wife Julia, Pablo Levario and wife Connie, Luis Levario and wife Connie, Jimmy Levario and wife Maggie, and Roy Levario; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Michael Elizondo, Freddy Leija, Johnny Levario, Ricky Ramirez, Jose Lino Samaniego and Ruben Samaniego. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Berry, Mark Anthony Colazo, Juan Carlos Mejia, and Mark Samaniego. Viewing will start at 12:00 noon with a Rosary recited for Juanita at Robert Massie Funeral Home Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 7:00 pm with Deacon Claudio Sanchez officiating. Mass will be held at St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church in Big Lake on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 10:00 am with Father Isadore officiating. Interment will follow at Glenrest Cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. The family would like to thank those who gave their time, effort and support at the recent benefit for Juanita. The family would also like to thank Grandma's Kitchen employee's for their continuous love and support.
