Juanita Rios

On June 24,2024, our beloved mother Juanita P. Rios, entered the Gates of Heaven on her 84th birthday surrounded by her family.

Public viewing will from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, June 28, 2024, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, with grandson, Pastor Danny Ortiz, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Juanita was born on June 24, 1940 in San Benito, Texas to Francisco and Raquel Perez.

She was the eldest of 10 children. Being the oldest came with responsibilities so she finished 8th grade and then began working on the farm to help her family.

She moved to San Angelo and married, became a mother and a homemaker. She had a heart to serve in the church and had many roles such as the church secretary, nursery worker and being a member of the financial committee. She had a passion to serve the Lord in any way that was needed. One of her greatest accomplishments was obtaining her GED at the age of 62.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband Amado Rios, her son Genaro Henry Lopez and her brother Francisco Perez Jr.

She is survived by her daughters; Diana(Danny)Ortiz, Monica Charles, Yolanda Christy (Joe)Minjarez, Rachel(Billy)Sanchez and Michelle(Lorenzo)Sanchez; Daughter in law Debbie Lopez; 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Justin Ortiz, Henry Lopez, Stephen Charles, Michael Bermea, Jesse Dominguez, Jr., and Victor Sanchez.

She prayed for her family relentlessly and spoke in faith that all her family would be serving the Lord.
