Julia C. Sercos 60, died Monday, March 17, 2008, in an area hospital with her loving family by her side. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday, March 24, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Julia was born Jan. 8, 1948, to Phillip and Mary Cardenas in San Angelo, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Mary Cardenas, Francisco and Rosa Sercos; brother Luis Sercos; and her son Frankie Rodriquez. Survivors include her sons, Henry Rodriquez and wife Angel, Raymond Rodriquez and wife Martha, Anthony Rodriquez and Mary Lou; and the pride and joy of her life, her seven young grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Emma Cardenas, Mary Lou Guerrero and husband Max of San Angelo, and Gloria Gonzales and husband Andres of Bastrop; brothers Fila Cardenas and wife Rosario of Greeley, Colo., Freddy Cardenas and wife Vicky of San Angelo; and numerous nieces, nephews, close family and friends who loved and will miss her dearly. Pallbearers will be Freddy Cardenas, Ricky Cardenas, Sandra Guerra, Jodan Cardenas, Greg Sercos and Max Guerrero. A golden heart stopped beating and was put to rest by our by our loving and merciful god who takes only the best. Although we mourn and feel that things will never be the same we believe in our hearts that Julia was healed in Jesus's Name, Amen.
