June J. Nibling Weeks, 83, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away September 23, 2017. Services will be held Monday, September 25, at Massie Funeral Home Chapel, at 10:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. A second service will be held in Mt. Vernon, Texas, at the Purley Baptist Church. Mrs. Weeks will be buried in Oxford, Mississippi. Mrs. Weeks was a graduate of East Texas State University where she earned both B.S. and M.Ed. degrees in elementary education, along with certifications as a Reading Specialist and Supervision. She taught for 30 years in the Greenville ISD as an elementary teacher. As a faithful member of the Purley Baptist Church, she was active in children's activities including the Children's Service on Sunday's and summer Vacation Bible School. After retirement, she was also very active in local community, including volunteering at the local food banks. Among her passions were reading, cooking, traveling (all 50 states), reading, and family genealogy. June was very giving and loved her family and friends. She will be missed greatly by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Eugene Weeks, mother, Jorea Bond Dula, father, Jerre Nibling, and brothers, Duaine Cunningham and Jerre Nibling, Jr. Survivors include her siblings, Jeanette Moorehead (San Angelo), Jim Nibling (wife Denise) (Kaneohe, HI), Barbara Nibling (Grapevine), Marilyn Nibling (Houston), and Lee Cunningham, and stepmother Nadine Nibling (San Angelo); nieces, Jeni Dunn and family, Amy Martin and family, and Jameelyn Nibling; as well as numerous friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the The Gideons International or a local food bank.
