Karen'™s obituary and guestbook may be viewed online at www.robertmassie.com. Karen graduated from Water Valley High school in June of 1980. She served as the Jr. Sweetheart, as well as the Sr. Sweetheart of the San Angelo Saddle Club in her teen years. She enjoyed participating in the barrel racing, other play day events, and trail rides. Karen held several positions of employment through the years. Her fondest memories were the years spent at San Angelo National Bank. Her co-workers were her 9 - 5 'œfamily', especially Lori Davis, Pat Cottle, Cindy George, and Joe Terrazos. On September 5, 1981, Karen married the love her life, Chuck Martin. They began a beautiful journey together that lasted over 30 years. On January 11, 1983, they celebrated the birth of their miracle baby, Paige LeAnn. In the years following, her life was further enriched by the marriage of Paige to Wesley Noyd, and the birth of her two precious grandchildren, Kayleigh Paige 'œSweet Sweet' and Gavyn Wesley 'œLittle Love'. Oh how she loved being their Mi Mi! Second only to her faith in God, her family was the most important treasure she possessed. Karen is survived by husband, Chuck Martin; daughter, Paige Noyd and husband Wesley; grandchildren, Kayleigh Paige and Gavyn Wesley. She is also survived by her parents, Vernon and Frieda Doss; a sister, Verna Gilley and husband Sheldon; a brother, Teddy Doss; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Leonard and husband David; a nephew, Brandon Gilley and wife Mandy; a niece, Amber Bosworth and husband Cole; and great nieces and nephews, Lauren Gilley, Caleb Gilley, Wyatt Bosworth and Avery Bosworth; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family would like to express our deepest appreciation to Dr. Steve Montoya, Dr. Jesse Jurado, the entire staff at West Texas Nephrology, Vista Care Hospice, especially nurse Kathy Osborne, who took such good care of our sweet angel, Karen. Karen'™s legacy of courage, faith, and enduring love will remain in the hearts of those she left behind, and her imprint of love will remain with all that came to know her. We will miss you, Babe, Mom, Mimi, Kay Kay, Sis, Karen'¦however, this is not goodbye, for we will see you soon. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith; Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing. II Timothy 4: 6-8
