Katherine Elizabeth Fairchild

Katherine Elizabeth Fairchild, 75, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2014 at a local hospital. Family visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor James Miller officiating along with Mills Caraway. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Katherine was born on October 15, 1938 in Plymouth, PA to Steven and Elizabeth (Novak) Oktisuk. She married Thomas Gerald in 1954 in Nanticoke, PA; Thomas passed away in October of 1980. Kathy was a stay at home mother to her 6 children and was like a mother to all the other children in the neighborhood. She loved to play bingo and skipbo with her family and friends. Kathy never met a stranger and always cooked enough for an army. She is survived by Son, David (Denise) Fairchild; Son, Robert Fairchild and Shelley Harris; Daughter, Pamela (Dale) Whitlock all of San Angelo; Son, Steven (Stephanie) Fairchild of Midland, TX; Brother, Mike (Maureen) Oktisuk of Plymouth, PA; grandchildren; Brandon, Sterling, Steven, Tommy Jo, Shannon, Michelle, Tonya, Jason, Kristen, Heather, Frankie, Brittney, Jonathan, Scott and Megan along with numerous great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Steven Fairchild, Sterling Fairchild, Brandon Barnes, Tommie Fairchild, Frankie Flores, Scott Worley, Rodney Swearingen and Chris Whitlock.
