Kathryn Irene Schnaidt

Kathryn Schnaidt, of Hobbs, passed away on July 9, 2019 in San Angelo, TX. Kathryn Schnaidt was born in Hobbs, NM on April 24, 1946. In 1968, her son Anthony was born, and she was a loving, attentive mother. She married John Schnaidt on October 4th,1994 in Las Vegas, NV. In her life, she worked as a corrections officer, meat cutter and dietitian. She put her best self into all she did: her work, her friends and her family. Kathryn was always funny and full of life! She was fiercely loyal to anyone she loved, family and friends together. Kathryn had a golden touch and whenever she tried something new was always successful. She loved cooking, painting and crocheting. Dogs were an important part of Kathryn's life, with beloved pets such as Max, Molly & Jezebel. Her horse Pepper, a dappled gray Appaloosa, was one of Kathryn's beloved animals. She was an awesome big sister, loving wife and dedicated mother. She became a step grandma in 2012, when Tony married Marcy, who along with sons Erik & Wilhem were added to the family with open arms, giving her spoiling privileges! Her husband John particularly remembers her love for red and yellow roses as well as how carefully she tended them in her garden, wherever she lived. Kathryn Schnaidt is preceded in death by her sister Lorraine Walker and stepfather Clive Allen. Kathryn Schnaidt is survived by Ruby Allen (Mother), John Schnaidt (Husband), Anthony Martin (Son), Marcy Martin (Daughter-in-law), Erik Young (Grandson), Wilhem Young (Grandson), Darlene Shields (Sister), Ted Shields (Brother-in-law) Norma Hembrey (sister), Jay Hembrey (brother-in-law) and numerous nieces and nephews.
