Kenneth Brodnax Jr.

Kenneth "Ken" Brodnax Jr., Ken Brodnax Jr., 62 of Odessa passed away Thursday February 24, 2011 at a Round Rock Hospice facility. Graveside service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday March 1, 2011 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Santos Becerra, officiating. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Saturday March 5, 2011 at Odessa College Deaderick Hall. Ken was born July 8, 1948 in San Angelo to Kenneth and Gwen (Boykin) Brodnax Sr. He graduated Central High School in 1965 and then received his degree in journalism from West Texas State University in Canyon in 1971. He worked for the Odessa American Newspaper as a columnist and editorial page editor and wore many other hats in his 40 years there. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his sister; Myra Brodnax-Betsinger and her husband, Brett of Austin; and special friends; Laura Dennis of Odessa and Terry and June Young of Austin.
