Kim Denise Heffner Burton, 49, of San Angelo, passed away at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Robert Massie Funeral Home Chapel. Kim was born April 29, 1958 in Verdun, France. Her parents' military career took her to many parts of the world, settling in San Angelo. She loved to create. As a young teen, she created pies for her neighborhood bakery service. Following her love of music, she learned to play guitar so she could create her own. Fun loving and active with friends and cousins, she graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1976. After a brief service in the Army, Kim concentrated on developing her artistic talents, studying commercial art at Texas State Technical Institute. After living in Dallas for a time, she returned to San Angelo, continuing her work in commercial art. She married Stephen Burton on June 18, 1999 in San Angelo and then focused on being a homemaker and loving mother to her two children. She continued to develop her ability to draw and create. She was a talented artist and she left beautiful works that her family treasures. Just as a rainbow spans a spectrum of colors, Kim's personality was colorful and cheerful. Kim is survived by her husband, Stephen Burton, daughter Erika Anne Heffner, son, Levi Alexander Heffner, mother and stepfather, Barbara Hollway Hubbartt and Roy Hubbartt, father and stepmother, Gary and Susan Heffner, of Waco, mother and father-in-law, Joyce Burton and Charles Burton, sister and brother-in-law, Sherri and Bill Jones, brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Nancy Heffner of Dallas, sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathy and George Brown and Sherry and Johnny Cupps. May you always walk in sunshine and God's love around you flow, for the happiness you gave us, no one will ever know, it broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, a part of us went with you, the day God called you home. The Lord bless you and keep you and may you rest in peace, dear Kim.
