Kim Felicia Walters joined her parents in heaven on Monday October 12, 2015. She died of cardiac arrest Community Hospital in San Angelo, TX, with family and friends at her bedside. Viewing will be 9:00am to 1:00pm with the funeral service with military honors following at 2:00pm at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. Jerome Walters, officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington National Cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Kim, a native of Columbus, GA, who graduated from Baker High school and attended Tuskegee University, retired from the US Air Force after 23 years as a civil engineer and moved to San Angelo to continue her post-service career. An ordained minister, she earned her Master of Divinity degree from Oral Roberts University and served on pastoral staffs of churches in Washington, DC.; Las Vegas, NV.; St. Roberts, MO.; and San Angelo, TX. Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Merkelee Walters, both of Dublin, GA, her oldest brother, Wilbur Walters Jr., and oldest sister, Myrtice Stephens. She is survived by her son, Timothy of San Angelo, who is a freshman at Baylor University; Timothy's father, Tommy Johnson of Las Vegas, NV.; two sisters, Mayola (William) Boykin, physicians in Ashland, KY; Iola Green, an Atlanta social work director; two brothers, Ronald (Debra) Walters, a Phoenix, AZ.; auto executive, and Jerome Walters, a Seattle program manager. She is also survived by three aunts, Juanita O'Neal, Thelma Godfrey and Eula Walters all of Dublin, GA. Kim leaves nine nieces, Candice Walters and Priscilla Green both of Atlanta, Whitney Walters of St. Louis; Jessica, Jasmine, and Julianna Walters, all of Seattle and Lori Walters, Donna Walters -Vaulthier and Ronica Miller, all of Phoenix; and six nephews, Jerome Jr., and Jeremiah Walters, both of Seattle, Jonathan Walters of Atlanta; William, Mark, and John Boykin, all of Ashland, KY. Among the host of family and friends Kim leaves behind there are some special friends who have been a strong support for Kim throughout and whom she considered family: Lisa Wilder of San Angelo and Danielle Griffin of Virginia.
