L G. TISDALE

On Thursday September 11 2008, L.G. Tisdale, 79, was called home to be with his heavenly Father. Services will be held Monday, September 15, 2008, at 10:00 am, under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home in San Angelo. Arrangement by Robert Massie Funeral Home. L.G. was born November 7, 1928 in Weslaco, TX to Emmitt and Nellie Mae Davis Tisdale. On June 17, 1949, he married Colleen Robbins. L.G. graduated from L.I.F.E. Bible College in Los Angeles, CA where he leaped into life as a minister. He served the Lord in churches through out Oklahoma and Texas where he spent 15 years of service in San Angelo. As a member of the Mason's and Lion's Club, L.G. thrived in helping others. His love for missionary work led him into his community, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. He pioneered, designed, and rebuilt several churches in Texas. L.G. is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. Survivors include his wife, Colleen, and three children; Patty Byrne and husband Jimmie of Robert Lee, Judy Curtis and husband Steve of San Angelo, and Lynn Tisdale and wife Brenda of San Angelo, six grandchildren; Doss Byrne, Sarah Altom and husband Aaron, Misty Tisdale, Tiffany Angel, Jerrod Angel, and Jeremy Tisdale, two great-grandchildren; Austin Byrne and Lauren Altom. L.G. has also been blessed with a loving extended family of many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also survived by sister Naomi Bullion, sister-in-law Irene Tisdale and brother and sister-in-law Charlie and Gladys Tisdale. Pallbearers will be sons-in-law Jimmy Byrne and Steve Curtis, grandsons Doss Byrne, Jerrod Angel, Jeremy Tisdale, and Aaron Altom.
