Laura Lee Rackley, 84, formerly of Odessa and Big Lake, passed away on June 25 in Granbury. Visitation will be 10:00-12:00 Noon, Thursday June 30 at Robert Massie Funeral Home, San Angelo, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30 at Fairmount Cemetery with Rev. J. B. Bitner officiating. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Laura Lee was born in San Angelo to Minnie Ida and Willie Roy Kight on September 23, 1920. She went to school at Big Lake, TX. She married John A. Rackley on May 7, 1943 in San Angelo, TX. After entering into professional hairstyling during World War II, she owned and operated a beauty salon in Denver City between '56 and '69. John and Laura Lee spent the remainder of their lives in Odessa, TX. Laura Lee was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Business and Professional Women, Order of Eastern Star and First Baptist Church of Odessa. Laura Lee is preceded in death by her husband, John Anderson Rackley, her parents, Willie Roy and Minnie Ida Kight, her sisters, Johnnie Back and Willie Mae Hayter, and her brother, Roy Kight. Honorary Pallbearers: James Hillis, Scott McHorse, Carl Rackley, Dub Rackley, Walter Rackley and Joe Tucker. She is survived by daughter, Willeene King and husband Arnold; grandson, Todd King and wife Holly and granddaughter, Tamra Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Gage, Gillian, Grayson and Georgia King.
