Leonor Torres Dietz

Leonor "Noni" Torres Dietz, 91, passed away on Monday; January 7, 2019 at Park Plaza Nursing Home in San Angelo, Texas. After many years of battling chronic Alzheimer's disease, our sweet Noni has been granted her Angel Wings. She was born on March 17, 1927, in Brady, Texas to Lazaro and Lorenza Roque Torres. Before Leonor became severely ill with Alzheimer's she enjoyed working in her garden, watching novelas, loving her poodle, Princess, and enjoying a beer with her love, Edward Dietz. During her early years, she was employed as a housekeeper for the Housley family and at Abell Transfer Company. Leonor was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Dietz; her parents, Lazaro and Lorenza Torres; sisters, Micaela "Kela" Muñoz, Julia Martinez and Juana Sandoval; brothers, Bentura Torres, Antonio Torres and Luis Torres; brothers-in-law, Patricio Adame, Edward "Chapo" Sandoval, Donnell Dietz, Ralph Dietz; sister-in-law, Anita Hernandez. She is survived by her stepson, Eddie Dietz, Jr; her sister, Trine Adame, of San Angelo, Texas; her brother, Gilbert and Rosa Torres of San Angelo, Texas; her sister-in-law, Mary "Lule" Garcia, of San Angelo, Texas; her brothers-in-law, Fred and Odelia Dietz, Chon Muñoz, both of San Angelo, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Leonor's nephews: Daniel Muñoz, Jose "Joey" Angel Muñoz, Richard Adame, Arturo Adame, Luis Torres and Gilbert Torres, Jr. We would like to extend our gratitude to Park Plaza Nursing Home staff for the excellent care they provided to our loved one. In addition, a special thanks to Fred and Odelia Dietz for graciously accepting the role as Leonor's caregivers after Edward passed. Rosary service will be held at Robert Massie Funeral Home, 402 Rio Concho Dr., on Wednesday, January 9th, at 6 p.m. Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 301 W. 17th St., on Thursday, January 10th at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Belvedere Cemetery.
