Leora Grooms Pustka

Leora Grooms Pustka, 84, of San Angelo, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday May 12, 2015 at a local care center. Rosary will be held at 7:00pm Thursday May 14, 2015 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00am Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart. Burial will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral home. She was born on March 28, 1931 to Leroy and Laveda (Stuart) Grooms in San Angelo, TX. She married Alphons on June 18, 1948 in Mertzon. Leora and Alphons lived in San Angelo, Texas. She was a great wife and a very loving mother who loved to play bingo. She was a member of Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart. Pallbearers will be Mike Blasdell, Andy Rhoads, Terry Blair, Farley Dakan, Wade Dakan, Jason Coleman, Aaron Poindexter, Brent Ferguson and Kevin Holbrook. She was preceded in death by mother, Laveda Grooms, father, Leroy Grooms, brother, Bobby Grooms, sister, Dorothy Monroe, sister, Euleta Yarborough. Leora is survived by her loving spouse of 67 years; Alphons Pustka of San Angelo, daughters, Alana Dakan of San Angelo, Teena (Mike) Blasdell of Kingsland, Patricia (Andy) Rhoads of Montgomery, Mellissa (Terry) Blair of San Angelo, son, David (Jeanine) Pustka of Lufkin, sister, Teresa Young of Idalou, grandchildren; Farley Dakan, Wade Dakan, Cissy Coleman, Lainie Poindexter, Jamie Myers, Scarlett Ferguson, Courtney Holbrook, Whitney Pustka and 7 great-grandchildren.
