Ms. Linda Cresse, 85, passed away peacefully into the hands of our loving Father at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in San Angelo, TX on February 17, 2015, following a lengthy illness. Ms. Cresse, formerly of Brownwood, TX, was the mother of Rosalind Mauldin Payne, Michella Mauldin and Janet Mauldin Dykes and widow of the late Roger Mauldin. She was later married to Carl Laughlin, deceased and John Cresse, deceased. Ms. Cresse was born Linda Irene Glenn on January 22, 1930, to Joseph and Macy Glenn in Bartlesville, OK. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Flora A. King and Ella Faye Wilson. She is survived by a brother, Truman William Glenn, of Bartlesville, OK. She was an LVN while living in Brownwood and after the death of Roger moved to San Angelo, TX, where she owned a custom drapery shop. She was very creative and loved remodeling. We always laughed and said "she will be swinging a hammer and knocking down walls in Heaven!" Upon Ms. Cresse's wishes she will be cremated and a memorial service will be at her grandson's home at a later date. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Survivors include her daughters, Rosalind Payne and husband, Jerry (San Angelo), Michella Mauldin (San Angelo) and Janet Dykes and husband, Bob (Odessa); six grandchildren, Carrie Nelson (San Angelo), Michael Nichols and wife, Brenda (San Angelo), Keith Dykes and wife, Brittany (Haslet), Kris Dykes (Odessa), Ashly Amos (Lakewood ,CO) and Bonnie Amos (Los Angeles, CA), six great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by our special friend, Jo Hulett, who mother referred to as her "adopted daughter" and Riley Swick, who mother thought of as a "granddaughter"! Our beloved mother is now happily dancing in Heaven with our beloved daddy!
