LOIS MARTELL " MARTY" WARD

Lois Martell "Marty" Ward, 93, of San Angelo, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2008 at a local nursing home. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Chaplin J. T. Tucker of Vista Care Hospice officiating. Marty was born in Gustine, TX to Euell "Poppa" and Della Allen on August 23, 1914. She married John Allen Ward on November 27, 1937 in San Angelo, TX. She worked for Frontier Stamp Store, the First National Bank and several other businesses owned by the family. Marty was active in the Leading Ladies of San Angelo National Bank. Marty is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Allen Ward, her grandson, Dan Kevin Downing, one brother and five sisters. Marty is survived by her only daughter, Dee Dee Hall and husband, Mark L. Hall of San Angelo along with numerous nieces and nephews. The Hall family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the entire staff of Cedar Manor Nursing Home and all the wonderful people of Vista Care Hospice.
