Loretta Lillian Verpoorten

Loretta Lillian Verpoorten passed away peacefully in her home on May 8, 2019. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 20, 1929 to Julius and Lina Welke. She grew up on a farm in the town of Vilas in Wisconsin. She graduated from Antigo High School. She married the Love of her Life Ralph Verpoorten on September 9, 1950 and enjoyed 67 years together until he passed October 16, 2017 She is survived by her 3 daughters, Ruth Demirov (Demir), Crystal Purington (Brian), and Linda Sandoval. 5 grandchildren Suzette Glisch, Jacalynn Garcia (Ricardo), Brian Purington Jr {Charlotte). Michael MacHarg Jr.(Nubia) and Heather Purington. 8 great grandchildren Alexandra Verley, Alycia Smith (Shawn), Christopher Riley, Julius Bricker, Isabella MacHarg, Camila MacHarg, Emilie MacHarg and Bronson Purington. 1 great great granddaughter Kyndell Smith. There will be a memorial service held at 11:30 on June 2nd at Calvary Lutheran Church on College Hills Blvd. Meal will follow the memorial service. We greatly appreciate and would like to thank Kindred Hospice for their kindness and excellent caring service they provided for a year and a half. In lieu of flowers please donate to either Kindred Hospice or Calvary Lutheran Church.
