Lucy R. Perez

Lucy R. Perez, 88 of San Angelo went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday October 10, 2013 at a local care center. Rosary will be 7:00pm Sunday October 13, 2013 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00am Monday October 14, 2013 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Deacon Dan Pena, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Lucy was born May 12, 1925 in Del Rio, TX., to Cresencio and Trinidad (Garcia) Ramirez. She worked at Shannon Medical Center in the housekeeping department. She married Liberto S. Perez Sr. in Del Rio, TX., on June 25, 1949. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Lucy was very strong willed and always had a smile on her face. She never spoke an ill word and was simply an amazing example to all the women in her family. She watched the Dallas Cowboy's every chance she got. She was the oldest daughter and the last one of her immediate family. Pallbearers will be Robert Perez Jr., Rolando Aguirre Jr., Richard Lee Martinez, Greg Norgren, Neo Perez and Johnny Hernandez Jr. She is preceded in death by her son; Gilbert Perez; her grandson; Liberto G. Perez; her parents; two sisters and four brothers. Survivors include her husband of 64 years; Liberto S. Perez Sr., two sons; Liberto Perez Jr., and wife, Herminia, Phil Perez and wife, Nancy; three daughters; Victoria Perez and husband, Robert, Alma Perez and Ray Ybarra, all of San Angelo and Michelle Aguirre and husband, Rolando Sr., of Cleburne, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Park Plaza and the Odyssey Hospice Dr.'s, nurses and staff.
