Lupe Sepulveda Soto went to join her Heavenly Father on Sunday January 29, 2006 in a local nursing home after a long illness. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 1st, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father David Herrera officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Lupe was born March 23, 1926 in Bronte, TX on March 23 1926, to Marcos and Consuelo Sepulveda. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Sam R. Soto whom she married on Feb. 4th 1950, her brother Rudy Sepulveda and her uncle Benito Pena. Lupe was a life long resident of San Angelo and was employed by Nathan's Jewelers for 25 years and then at Hemphill Wells for ten years where she helped many brides select their china and silver patterns. Lupe was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Lupe was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was the happiest when she was at home cooking for her family, helping at the church, working in the yard and enjoying her grandchildren. Left to cherish the legacy of her life is son Jerry Soto and wife Corina, her two grandsons whom she loved very much and was totally devoted to Jason Soto, and Mark Soto and wife Millie and her two great-grandchildren who brought her so much happiness and laughter Sienna and Sergio Soto. She is also survived by her brother Louis Sepulveda and sisters Josie Sepulveda and Anita Charles and a very special nephew Oscar Acevedo and fiancée, Christy Matson and his daughter Megan, sister-in-laws Otila Daniel and Lydia Martinez from Corpus Christi, Amalia Rodriquez from Lubbock, Tx, Mercedes Ornelas and brother-in-law Dan Soto from San Angelo, Tx, Mandy special friends and comadres. Pallbearers will be David Rogers, Oscar Cedillo, Alex Valles, Domingo Diaz, Adam Hernandez and Robert Villarreal. We would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to Maria Esquivel, Mercedes Ornelas, Bertha Garcia and all her wonderful neighbors. Thank you to Toni Moya and all the Eucharistic of St. Mary's Church. We are indebted to the staff at Shannon Hospital and Regency Nursing Home for the care that they all provided. She will be missed very much by her family and friends; we will hold dearly the beautiful memories that are treasures in hearts for her life well spent. She is now reunited with Sam and her loved ones where together they will watch over us in heaven as they did on earth.
