Lynda Gay Blackwell

Lynda Blackwell, 61 of San Angelo died Monday September 5, 2011 at an area care center. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Thursday September 8, 2011 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Shannon Chaplain Jim Benson, officiating. Private burial of her ashes will follow at Fairmount Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Lynda was born March 13, 1950 in Inglewood, CA., to Elvin and Joy (Monroe) O'Bryan. She was a longtime employee of Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of San Angelo and recently active in the Foster Grandparent Program of the Concho Valley. Above all else Lynda was a people person who adored her family and large extended family of dear friends. She was always looking to bring a smile to others whether dressed as a clown or just with a funny gift. One of her greatest loves was two-stepping around the dance floor. She is preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her daughter; Summer Blackwell of San Antonio; Mother; Joy O'Bryan of San Angelo; Brother; William O'Bryan and wife, Pam of Torrance, CA., Sisters; Stella Gilbert and husband, Jeff of Morrison, OK, Patricia Hooker and husband, Al of San Angelo and beloved nieces and nephews.
