Mae Deans Morrow, our loving and precious mother, passed away into the arms of her beloved lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, January 14, 2008 surrounded by her children and family at Shannon Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at the Robert Massie Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 18th with the Dr. Tommy King, pastor of Johnson Street Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, January 17th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Mae was born on July 11, 1917 in Hico, TX to Jot and Fannie Deans. She moved to San Angelo as a young woman where she met the love of her life Sam Morrow. Mae and Sam were married on September 28, 1940 in San Angelo, TX and they happily shared the next 53 years together until Sam's death in 1993. Mae had an outgoing and friendly personality and was described by many as "having never met a stranger." Mae's love for people led her to a career in women's clothing retail sales. Her career included positions at J.C. Penney Company, Newman-Hansen Department Store and Lynda's Pant Boutique. Mae was a loving mother and wife who supported her family with all her heart and soul. She loved to cook meals and have family and friends over to enjoy her cooking. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and loved to play solitaire. Mae Morrow lived over 90 years on this earth and everyone who she met was touched by her sweet spirit. She made this world a better place and everyone she met was blessed by just knowing her. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her two sons; Frank Morrow of San Angelo and Doak Morrow and his wife, Martha of Allen, TX; three grandchildren, John Paul Landry, Rachel Landry and David Landry; a sister, Ruby Jennings and her husband, Wesley and two brothers; Carl Deans and his wife, Jeannie and J.B. Deans and his wife, LaWanda, all of San Angelo, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pall bearers will be her sons Frank Morrow and Doak Morrow; grandsons John Paul Landry and David Landry; close friends Steve Grafa and Paul Ramsey. Memorials to honor her memory may be made to your favorite charity.
