Manuel Grimaldo Garza Sr.

Manuel Grimaldo Garza Sr., 84 of San Angelo passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday November 30, 2011. Rosary will be 7:00 PM Sunday December 4, 2011 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM December 5, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Deacon Mark Mata, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral home. Manuel was born July 15, 1927 in Christoval to Eugenio and Rafaela (Grimaldo) Garza. He was a general contractor and served in the US Army. He was dedicated to his work and a loving father, grandfather and husband who will be missed. He married Felice Alcala in San Angelo on July 5, 1953. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Eugene and Ramon Garza. Survivors include his wife; Felice Alcala Garza of San Angelo, two daughters; Martha Russell of Keller, TX, and Maxine Salazar and husband, Guadalupe of Abilene, a son; Manuel Garza Jr. of Roanoke, TX, a grandson; Blake A. Russell of Keller, TX., three brothers; Jesus Garza and wife, Consuelo, Alberto Garza and wife, Elodia, Richard Garza and wife, Olga and a sister, Mary Villarreal, all of San Angelo and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Interim Health Care Hospice and the Progressive Care Unit at San Angelo Community Medical Center.
