Manuel Santos

Manuel H. Santos, 84, passed peacefully on Saturday, June 30. He was born on August 9, 1933 in Eagle Pass, Texas to Maria and Rodolfo Santos. He left Eagle Pass to join the Army as a paratrooper. After his service in the Army, he enrolled at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, where he met the love of his life, Estela Perez. He became an educator, teaching in New Braunfels, Houston, Eagle Pass, and San Angelo. Manuel was preceded in death by his brother, Rodolfo, and sister, Helen. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Estela P. Santos, daughter Melissa and husband Chris Cruzcosa, son Dominic and wife Christy Cotton, daughter Francine and husband Gerald Tempton, and son Rod and wife Katie Santos, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 3 at Robert Massie Funeral Home.
