Margarita "Maggie" was born in San Angelo, Texas to Genaro Carrasco and Trinidad Acosta Carrasco, on July 20, 1939. She married Rodolfo Ramirez on April 23, 1963 in Acuna, Mexico. Their union was blessed with three beautiful children, Jose, Sandra and Alejandro. She was a homemaker for many years and then in 1977 she began working at Ethicon. She worked at Ethicon for 27 years, retiring in 2004. Maggie enjoyed socializing with her friends and family, loved to cook and go dancing with her husband Rudy. She made mealtimes an opportunity to come together, eat amazing food, tell stories and find out what was going on in each person's life. Her family and friends couldn't wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas each year because they knew her famous turkey, dressing and tamales would be there. Anytime you came over to her house you would always be offered something delicious to eat and a plate to go. She enjoyed watching football, mostly to see if she had won any money with the football squares, and she was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Most of all she made her family the focus of her life in all that she did. Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rudy Ramirez, her daughter Sandra Ramirez, by her brothers Gilbert Carrasco, Nasario Carrasco, and Genaro Carrasco Jr., and sisters Leonora Sandoval, Pauline Garcia, and Lydia Lopez. Maggie is survived by her children Joe and wife Martha Ramirez, Alex and wife Kristin Ramirez, also Freddy Jacques, brother George Carrasco and sisters Vivian Bustamonte, Amelia Carrasco, and Victoria Castilleja. She had 9 grandchildren Angel, Joseph, Allysia, Arriele, Gabriel, Nathan, Kaley and Camryn as well as 4 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be George Carrasco, Freddy Jacques, Jesse Garcia, Joe Ramirez, Alex Ramirez, Joseph Ramirez. We will always miss you and love you. You will always be in our hearts and in our thoughts. We eagerly wait for the day when we will see you again in heaven. Your departure from this world and from our lives leaves a hole in our hearts. Not a day will go by without a thought of you, and because of this, you will live on forever. The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the health care providers at Shannon Medical Center, Cedar Manor Rehab, and St. Gabriel's Hospice for their care and kindness.
