Marguerite "Shug" Boswell Johnson, 86 of San Angelo, TX went to be with the Lord on October 21, 2011 in San Angelo, TX at an area care center. Viewing will be from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Thursday October 27, 2011 and Friday October 28, 2011 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Belvedere Memorial Park. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday October 29, 2011 at First Baptist Church with Minister Al Fike, officiating. Marguerite was born in Durant, Oklahoma to R.S. (Randy) and Ruth Jarrell Boswell on September 19, 1925. She was a mother and friend to many in the community. She taught First Grade and Special Ed in San Angelo for over 40 years. Marguerite was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and First Baptist Church. She loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother. Marguerite Johnson is preceded in death by her husband, Walter M. Johnson, Minister of Music at Park Heights Baptist Church for many years, parents Randy and Ruth Boswell, one sister, Martha Pettit and one niece, Martha Ann Reimann. Marguerite Johnson is survived by two daughters, Ruth Ann and Kent Rogers of Indio, CA, and Virginia and Kurt Eschman of San Angelo, TX; one sister, Carolyn and Philip Busby of Ada, OK; three grandchildren, Shawn and Sarah Rogers, Erin and Matt Kinney of Phoenix AZ, and Chawndra Eschman of Stillwater, OK; five great-grandchildren, five nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews and many friends she considered family.
