Maria Garcia

Maria Del Carmen Garcia, 86, of San Angelo passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at home surrounded by her family.

You may stop by Robert Massie Funeral Home from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Friday July 19, 2024 to sign the book; Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM. Mass will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 20, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Reggie Odima, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Maria was born on July 14, 1938 in Salamanca, Guanajuato, Mexico to Alejo and Antonia Gaspar Garcia. She lived in Eldorado and San Angelo. Maria was a dedicated mother, a hard worker, stubborn, and courageous. She could do anything the put her mind too and would often give her opinion to anyone who would listen. Maria enjoyed animals, crocheting, crafting, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

Maria is survived by five children, Jose Martin Huichapa and wife Evangelina of San Angelo, Maria L. Huichapa of San Angelo, German Huichapa and wife Zulema Reyes Austin, Angelica Huichapa of San Angelo, and Maria Yolando Huichapa and husband Marcos of San Angelo, one brother, Hermenejildo Garcia and wife Candelaria of Mexico, and 17 grandchildren: and 1 great granddaughter.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice for their care in the later stages of her life.
