Maria G. Hernandez Maria G. Hernandez, 86 of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Friday August 31, 2012 at her residence. Prayer service will be 7:00 pm Monday September 3, 2012 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday September 4, 2012 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Luis Soto of Hosanna church, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Maria was born on December 11, 1925 in Ozona, TX. to Manuel and Ventura (Alvarado) Garcia. Maria was a housewife most of her life, and dedicated herself to taking care of her family and home. Pallbearers are Demas Hernandez, Daniel Soto, Simon Hernandez, Mauricio Franco Jr., Miguel Soto and Leandro Hernandez. Maria is preceded in death by her parents and two sons; George and Arthur Hernandez, granddaughter, Virginia Hernandez Serrano. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Louis A. Hernandez Sr., daughter; Sylvia H. Reyes; two sons; Robert G. Hernandez and wife, Graciela and Luis Hernandez, six sisters; Chonita Alvarez, Emma Maldonado, Edna Padilla, Romi Guajardo and husband, Roy, Maggie Perez, and husband, Joe and Manuela Ubando, all of San Angelo; four brothers; Manuel Garcia and wife, Lili of Snyder, Lorenzo Garcia and wife, Alice of Grape Creek, Jesus Garcia and wife Manuela of Las Cruces, NM and Jose Garcia and wife, Becky of San Angelo, sixteen grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Hospice of San Angelo for the loving care shown to our family.
